BIO

Heartbreak Rodeo is a powerhouse acoustic rock trio that combines original, soulful songwriting with classic cover tunes that everyone can enjoy. Michael Bendure and David Henson are award-winning songwriters who bring more than 50 years of songwriting and performing experience to the band. Heartbreak Rodeo combines acoustic rock with country, classic rock with folk harmony, heart with soul. With two acoustic guitars, tight vocal harmonies, and driving bass lines, Heartbreak Rodeo delivers a distinct punch that’s as original and catchy as its songs.

Since forming Heartbreak Rodeo in 2014, the band has performed annually at the Norman Music Festival, plus the Norman Chamber of Commerce Annual Fall Arts Luncheon, the Oklahoma Tourism Road Show, multiple 2nd Friday Norman Art Walks, multiple First Friday Paseo Art Walks and Paseo Art Festivals in Oklahoma City, Live Music on the Canal in Bricktown, and the Norman Porch Festival. Heartbreak Rodeo played regularly on the Jet Sets stage at the Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City; El Toro Chino, Bison Witches, Hollywood Corners (owned by Toby Keith), and Native Spirits Winery, all in Norman, plus numerous shows at Royal Bavaria Restaurant in Moore, Grand Casino in Shawnee, and tons more.

In 2018, the released their first full-length, studio album with Oklahoma guitar legend Terry "Buffalo" Ware.

In 2015, Heartbreak Rodeo was invited to record an original song on a compilation album designed to promote songs about Oklahoma, titled "In a Red Dirt State of Mind."
